Rainbow Telugu Movie Story:

A dull story, the movie begins with Shyam (Rahul) who lives in the Brindavan colony and he has a good support in the form of Maruti uncle (Maruti Rao), his grand daughter Kamala (Sindhu) who cannot speak, her father (Paruchuri). Shyam is an artist who works with the Berger paints and keeps coming across with various colors for the hoardings of the company. During one such stint, he paints the picture of a pretty girl and one day he sees his imagination for real in the form of Swapna (Sonal). She is in Hyderabad for a mission, to become a great heroine and fulfill her late father's wishes. A freak incident gets Shyam to Swapna and in no time, she comes to his home. Shyam gets to know her flashback and from then on he helps her from the scratch to achieve her goal. However, he never expresses his love during this process. Meanwhile, after few attempts, Swapna finally manages to get a break and when she is about to go abroad for her shooting, Shyam musters courage and confesses his feelings. This puts off Swapna and she turns him down stating her focus is her career and she does not want to have any emotional tangles. Meanwhile, Shyam's feelings are discovered by Kamala who is actually in love with him. The dejected Shyam gets a jolt when Kamal attempts a suicide and then reveals her feelings to him. Shyam then gives her his piece of mind. Meanwhile, Swapna becomes a top heroine and she gets completely famous. However, the truth of Shyam's feelings dawn on her when her master explains the situation. It becomes an year and when she finally comes to admit her feelings with Shyam, she is in for a surprise. What is the surprise? That forms the rest of the story.

Rainbow Telugu Movie Presentation:

The director has come up with a stale plot and though the presentation was nice, the narration flopped big time and was dismal. The dialogues were dull, the script was not in grip and the screenplay was executed shoddily. However, the songs were excellent and the cinematography was another saving grace for having come up with good angles and capturing Sonal during the songs. The editing was poor, the background score was a distraction and other departments were just about okay. Rahul was average and was missing his spark that he possessed in his earlier venture, Sonal showed her skin to the maximum but she needs some more flesh if she is looking at the southern circuit, Prakashraj was apt, Sindhu Menon was naturally seductive and was clean with her performance. Gollapudi and Paruchuri had negligible roles. Sunil was able to extract some hearty laughs. Another performance worth mentioning is that of director S S Rajamouli who was quite professional with his acting and showed maturity.
